Palestine - 500 mils 1939 - PMG 64 EPQ - Prefix F - Extremely Rare
The collectors who hold banknotes of such a high standard are not in a hurry to sell them… The opportunity presented to you to obtain such a special and unusual item is extremely rare and appears at best once a decade. From the searches and inquiries we have made, this is the highest graded banknote offered for auction on BidSpirit among 500 mil banknotes (and probably in the world, at least in the last decade).
The opportunity is as rare as the banknote of which very few are known in UNC condition (according to the grading company PMG only 9 notes are graded above grade 58). And above this banknote grading, only 3 banknotes are known in the PMG company. An item of exceptional quality and a great addition to any collection.
In 1917, the British conquered Israel from the Ottomans and British military rule in Israel began.
The Currency Bank Banknotes were the first to be issued for Israel (formerly Palestine).
Entered circulation on Monday, November 1, 1927, and served as a legal proceeding in Jordan and the Gaza Strip as well.
The banknote values in the series were 500 miles, £ 1, £ 5, £ 10, £ 50 and £ 100.
