A brass token in the value of 1 (Piaster or Metlik), for use by Zichron Ya’akov settlers. Minted in Paris in 1885 in order to deal with the lack of change.
When the Turkes found out about those tokens they banned them all from circulation and porbid to use them.
Obverse: "Zichron Jacob" and value.
Reverse: "Zichron Jacob".
