According to PMG, there are only 4 banknotes that are graded above this grade. A very rare bill in terms of quality. Not many collectors are aware of this but in terms of the quality parameter, this is the rarest 500 mil banknote, more than 1927, 1939 and 1945.
In 1917, the British conquered Israel from the Ottomans and British military rule in Israel began.
The Currency Bank Banknotes were the first to be issued for Israel (formerly Palestine).
Entered circulation on Monday, November 1, 1927, and served as a legal proceeding in Jordan and the Gaza Strip as well.
The banknote values in the series were 500 miles, £ 1, £ 5, £ 10, £ 50 and £ 100.
The banknotes were of different colors, bearing paintings of the Tower of David, the Dome of the Rock, the White Tower, and Rachel’s Tomb.
