Israel - 25 Lirot 1976 - NGC MS 66 - Strength to Israel

Israel – 25 Lirot 1976 – NGC MS 66 – Strength to Israel

(The numerical value of the two Hebrew letters making up the word "Koach" meaning "strength" is 28.) It would have been too much to expect that Israel within the span of one generation, would have been able to solve the many problems which other countries had been incapable of solving over many generations. A great gap still existed between the expectations of the founders of the Jewish State and the prevailing social and economic realities. Nevertheless, the State had demonstrated great capacities in dealing with its domestic and foreign problems, some of them with measureable success.
Israel had absorbed masses of destitute refugees enabling them to start life anew. A neglected land was converted into a verdant one; disease and ignorance were eradicated; a thriving agriculture was developed; new cities were established; sophisticated industries were set up; modern scientific institutions were founded; social welfare was improved. In its many creative endeavors, Israel was serving as a model for other developing nations.
Obverse: The Israel State Emblem with "Israel" in Hebrew on the base, face value "25 Lirot" in Hebrew, mint year "5736-1976", "Israel" in English and Arabic around the left-hand border.
Reverse: The words "Strength to Israel" in stylized Hebrew letters, in the upper left, a Star of David
