"And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan…and see the land, what it is…whether it be good or bad" (Numbers 13:17.19). "And they came unto the brook of Eshkol and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bore it between two upon a staff" (Numbers 13:23). "…And they returned after 40 days…" (Numbers 13:25). This is the first time that tourists to Israel are mentioned in the Bible. 3,000 years later, Israel ranks high among the world’s major tourist destinations. Religious, historical and cultural heritage, natural beauty and year-round sunshine make Israel a unique tourist attraction for pilgrims and vacationers alike.
