Brotherhood, Unity, Charity, Peace, Truth, Light and Righteousness are the seven principles of the B’nai B’rith, one of the largest and oldest volunteer organizations in the world. For the 150 years of its existence, this Jewish organization has worked for a better world, a better life, peace and democracy. Since 1843 B’nai B’rith has defended human rights and fought hatred and bigotry. Its youth organizations teach moral and ethical values at over 400 college campuses around the world. The Land of Israel and People of Israel, Jewish unity and security, and perpetuation of Jewish culture and tradition have always been B’nai B’rith’s highest priorities.
Obverse: Face value in Hebrew and English, 1 New Sheqel on the Silver B.U. Coin, 2 New Sheqalim on the Silver Proof Coin, 5 New Sheqalim on the Gold Coin. Above the face value is the Israel State Emblem. The face value is struck at the center of a Menorah, the seven-branched candelabrum. Around the right-hand border is the word "ISRAEL" in Hebrew, Arabic and English and the mint year 1992 / 5752.
Reverse: The B’nai B’rith Emblem, a Menorah, from which emanate the seven principles of the organization (in Hebrew): Brotherhood, Unity, Charity, Peace, Truth, Light and Righteousness. To the right a smaller menorah, beneath
which are the years "1843-1993". Around the right-hand border is the inscription "B’NAI B’RITH" in English and Hebrew.
