Despite the high amount of the issue, the British did not manage to circulate the entire amount in circulation, and in fact the currency is seen in the market, similar to the amount seen from the other 20 mils low issues.
MIL, was the Hebrew name of the coin that was legal in Israel during the British Mandate, and then the official name of the coin in the State of Israel until 1952. Observe: Central hole surrounded by wreath of olive leaves, with the date in English and Arabic numerals below; "PALESTINE" in English above, Hebrew to left, and Arabic to right. Reverse: Central hole, inscriptions around, "20 MilsS" in English, Arabic and Hebrew, with numeral 20 of the English phrase at top.
