Israel – a pair of telephone tokens, one original and the other fake, 1950s
It can be noticed on the back of the tokens that some are marked with the number "7", some "8" and some without any marking at all.
The telephone token was a means of payment that was customary for the use of a public telephone. The token is a currency that does not pass to the trader, and its price is updated from time to time. Dip the token into a suitable slot on the phone to make a call from the device.
In Israel, the use of tokens began in 1953.
